Henk Rottinghuis is a Dutch businessman, philanthropist and sportsman.
In 2010, Henk Rottinghuis ran for President of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), the governing body of all Olympic equestrian events.
While the campaign was ultimately not successful, Henk received multiple high-profile endorsements for his candidacy including those of the important representing organisations of riders and his innovative 100-day listening campaign was praised for its thoroughness, openness and commitment. It successfully delivered long-term improvements into the sport. Indeed, Henk’s agenda, based on the findings of his 100-day listening campaign, remains the foundation for his commitment to improving the sport of equestrian and underpin his general approach to management.
Throughout his business career, Henk Rottinghuis has remained committed to sport and has served on the board of several charities and non-profit organisations, such as Chairman of the Rijksmuseum Fonds and the Veerstichting of Leiden University.
