In the view of the upcoming elections of the Executive Board of the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) in Taipeh on November 5th 2010, the Royal Dutch Equestrian Federation (KNHS) has proposed the candidacy of Mr Henk Th.E.M. Rottinghuis for the honorable position of President.

I know Mr Rottinghuis well, as a Dutch businessman with a proven record as a strong administrator and a binding factor in profit as well as non-profit organizations. His lifelong dedication to the equestrian sport has furthered our sport in the Netherlands in a most impressive manner. My first recollection of Mr Rottinghuis’ enthusiasm are from the early 1970’s when I witnessed him as an energetic volunteer at CHIO Rotterdam and I believe 21st century sports administrators have a positive advantage if they understand those who make events possible: the volunteers!
